Backtrack is an app for those who want to capture the nostalgia of music ranging from 1951 to 2016, based on the yearly US Top 100 Billboards.
Why?
The App
Launching the app, you’re prompted to enter your birthyear. We’ll use that birthyear to generate a random track from your nostalgia period and play it. Here you can open the song in Spotify or choose to go to the next track. Upon pressing next or the video ending, the next track will be generated. It’s a loop of pure music nostalgia, and don’t worry, you will not run out of tracks. Every track you play are saved to the track list, up to the limit of 50. If you hit that limit, it will remove the oldest track you’ve had in the list. You can also remove tracks manually. Backtrack requires a network connection to work properly since we’re playing the tracks using YouTube, and don’t worry, we’re not using nor storing any personal data.
